Behind the marketing

Business Growth & Consulting

Practical help with the parts of the business behind the marketing.

Who it's for

Owners, nonprofits and new ventures that are busy but not more profitable, or launching and wanting the right structure from day one.

Scope

What this includes

  • Business consulting & strategy
  • Business launch support
  • Operations optimisation
  • Market analysis & planning
  • IT & cybersecurity reviews
  • E-commerce & nonprofit platforms
  • QuickBooks setup (add-on)

What you get

Practical help with the parts behind the marketing

Marketing surfaces problems it cannot fix. Leads arrive and nobody follows up. The quote takes a week. The busiest month loses money and nobody can say why.

This is the work of finding out where the business actually loses time and margin, and fixing the two or three things that matter most.

This suits you if

  • You are busy but not more profitable
  • Leads go cold before anyone calls
  • Quoting and invoicing eat your week
  • You are launching and want to start clean

How it works

Look, prioritize, change

Advice that arrives as a document is advice nobody acts on.

  1. Where it actually goes

A short review of how work comes in, gets quoted, gets done and gets paid for. Usually one or two steps account for most of the loss.

  2. Priorities

Ranked by what it costs you now, not by what is most interesting to fix.

  3. Change one thing

We implement alongside you rather than handing over a plan. A change nobody adopts is not a change.

  4. Check back

Whether it held, and what moved as a result.

Focus

Where we help most

Operations and workflow

Quoting, scheduling, follow-up and invoicing, the steps that leak the most, and automating the ones a person should not be doing by hand.

Launching a business

Structure, tooling and the order to do things in, so you start clean instead of fixing it in year two.

IT and security

A review of email, account access, data protection and network basics, plus a short training session so staff can spot the obvious attacks.

E-commerce

Store setup and payment integration, product pages that sell and get found, and recovering abandoned carts, built on a website we can look after.

Nonprofits

Website and donor platforms, digital fundraising, and a CRM for supporters instead of a spreadsheet, with the marketing that brings supporters in.

Bookkeeping setup (add-on)

QuickBooks setup and clean-up, with Certified ProAdvisors on staff. An add-on we can help with, not the core of what we do.

Deliverables

What you get

  • A written review

What we found, in the order it costs you money.

  • A prioritized plan

With effort and impact against each item, so you can pick.

  • Implementation help

Alongside your team, not over email.

  • Operational fixes

The quoting, scheduling and follow-up steps that leak the most.

  • Launch support

For a new business: structure, tooling and the order to do things in.

  • A follow-up

    To see whether it stuck.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Is this just a report?

No. A report is the part nobody acts on. We implement the top items with your team, because the value is in the change rather than the document.

How long is an engagement?

Usually weeks, focused on a few specific changes. We would rather fix three things properly than produce a roadmap for thirty.

Do you do bookkeeping?

Not as a core service. QuickBooks setup and clean-up is available as an add-on, and we have Certified ProAdvisors on staff, but day-to-day bookkeeping is not our focus.

Do you work with nonprofits?

Yes: donor and fundraising platforms, supporter management, and the website and marketing that bring supporters in. Public bodies have their own government and municipal page.

Can you look at our IT security?

Yes. We review email security, account access, data protection and network basics, rank what we find by risk, and fix the urgent items with you.
