Look and sound like you

Branding & Creative Design

A brand that looks the same everywhere and sounds like you.

Who it's for

Businesses, nonprofits, artists and public figures whose look has drifted, or who are launching and want to start consistent.

Scope

What this includes

  • Logo design & brand identity
  • Graphic design
  • Print materials & collateral
  • Content creation & copywriting
  • Brand strategy & positioning
  • Personal branding for artists & public figures

What you get

A brand that looks the same everywhere

Most small businesses do not have a branding problem, they have a consistency problem. Three versions of the logo, two blues, a business card that does not match the truck, and a website that matches neither.

The work is deciding once and then writing it down so everyone who touches it afterwards can get it right.

This suits you if

  • Your logo exists in several conflicting versions
  • Nobody knows the actual brand colors
  • Print and web do not look related
  • You are rebranding or launching

Strategy

Strategy before the logo

A logo is the last decision, not the first. We start with who you are for and why they should choose you: a look at your market and the competitors you are measured against, where you sit among them, and the few sentences you want people to repeat. That becomes the brief the design answers to.

For artists, musicians and public figures the brand is the person, so the work is personal branding: one name, look and story across your website, social profiles and press materials.

After launch we can keep it consistent where it drifts fastest, on social profiles and posts, through our digital marketing work, and photograph your people, products and space to match through photo and video production.

How it works

Decide, document, apply

A brand that lives in one designer's head is a brand that drifts the moment they are busy.

  1. Discovery

What you do, who buys it, and what you need to look like to be believed. Short, and it changes everything after it.

  2. Identity

Logo, color, type and the rules for using them. Built to work at a favicon and on a vehicle.

  3. Guidelines

Written down, so a printer, a sign shop and a future employee all produce the same thing.

  4. Rollout

Applied across the website, print, signage and social, so the change actually reaches the places people see you.

Deliverables

What you get

  • Logo in every format

Vector masters plus the raster sizes you will actually be asked for.

  • Color and type, defined

Exact values for print and screen, with accessible contrast pairs checked rather than assumed.

  • Brand guidelines

Short enough to be read, specific enough to be followed.

  • Print collateral

Cards, letterhead and whatever the business actually uses.

  • Templates

So routine material can be produced without a designer each time.

  • Copy and messaging

How you describe yourself, written once and reused.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do we need a full rebrand?

Usually not. A lot of what looks like a brand problem is fixed by settling on one logo, one palette and one voice, then applying them properly.

We will say so if that is the answer, and it costs less.

Will the new logo work on our vehicles and signs?

That is part of the brief. A mark that only works at web scale is half a logo, and finding that out at the sign shop is expensive.

Do you work with artists and musicians?

Yes. Personal branding for performers and public figures is the same work at a different scale: a name, a look and a story that hold together on your website, social profiles, posters and press kit.

Do we get the original files?

Yes. Vector masters, every raster size and the guidelines. It is your brand, and you should not need us to use it. When the new identity reaches your website, we can apply it there too.
